"To describe Jacky's
style is difficult, but to experience his wines is unforgettable and like
a great artist, his wines have such style and uniqueness, that they are
immediately recognizable. They are extremely perfumed, full of fruit,
with long and complex finishes; they are never harsh or tannic, and at
the Grand Cru level combine great finesse with weight and longevity."
Peter Weygandt
Jacky Truchot has been
making wine for more than 35 years. Today he cultivates 7 hectares of
vines situated in the heart of the vineyards that have made Burgundy famous:
Morey St. Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, and Gevrey-Chambertin.
All his wines are aged in oak barrels for 15 to 24 months in cellars
that date from the mid-nineteenth century. They are then bottled in the
traditional fashion without fining or filtering. |
